Special Tools

Certain Formdrill applications require a special tool.

Everything can be modified on the Formdrill tool.

Examples:

- Longer collar (L3) to get more clearance between the part and tool holder

- Cut tip to reduce overall length (pilot hole required)

- Increased angle for shorter tool length (L1)

- Special coatings to improve tool life and eliminate/reduce the need for 
lubrication

- Increased lobes for more friction

- Special cutter design

- Chamfer integrated (60°-90°-120°)

- Extra long tools
